The Rise of East (Names, Terminologies....and more)

The other day I was discussing with a western educated, respected figure from my circle. Our discussion were general and it turned to wiki pedia and its sudden growth as a great pool of information! We searched few highly technical terms and found satisfying writeup on each term in wiki.
While we continued I asked him, have you heard about "Khan Academy"? He said no. I told him to search in the google. He did and said, "There is no result for this search". I was surprised and I stood up and looked at his screen. He had typed "Cannes Academy"!
I told him, you are still in the western era. World has moved and the east has risen high up! It is "Khan Academy", not "Cannes Academy". (Many eastern terms are commonly used these days across the world)

That was just a starter to introduce a totally different academic mission by a dynamic youth who made a difference. Have you heard about Khan Academy? If not, you must know this smart world of education!

Let me quote from the website of Khan Academy: "Our small team is on a mission to deliver a world-class education to anyone anywhere". "What started out as Sal making a few algebra videos for his cousins has grown to over 2,100 videos and 100 self-paced exercises and assessments covering everything from arithmetic to physics, finance, and history".

You must visit this link and see how big a difference an individual (or a small effective team) can make!
